I will be explaining different types of racism.

Religion

The oldest running example of racism would probably be the badness between the Jews and people of other Middle Eastern nations, such as the Arabs. All the way back in ancient times, Jews have been hated and mistreated by many of their neighbours in the Middle East. This horrible thing against Jews is known as Anti-semitism, and it doesn't end at the Middle Eastern borders. Many other groups have shown hatred towards Jews, from Hitler's Germany to groups in modern America.

Another example of racism can be seen in Australia. The Australian people of the Australian continent were seen as less than human and mistreated accordingly. In the 18th century, Britain took control of Australia. While a number of Australian people have been elected to positions within the Australian government, there is still arguably a lot of bad things that exist within part of the Australian culture.

The most prominent example most likely would be the racism of the African Americans. From the time of slavery in America, through even today, African Americans have been treated poorly just because of their different-colored skin. During the times of slavery, Africans were bought and sold like cattle. They were often separated from their loved ones, beaten, and even murdered according to the their 'masters,' the slave owners. After slavery was not allowed, African Americans were still seen as less than human. Africans were considered to be only 3/5 human.

what‘s the difference between racism and colourism?

Well colourism is being racist just about someones “colour”.

Racism is that but it also has to do with religion as you know, where your from, what you generally look like and a lot more.

Country

You can also be racist by not being nice to someone because they are from a different country than you.

Many African students come to China on a scholarship through the government to study at a university. The African students were often perceived as threatening and not punctual. A well-documented incident in 1988 featured Chinese students rioting against African students studying in Nanjing.

Police

A lot of police forces in the United Kingdom (such as the Greater Manchester Police, the London Metropolitan Police, the Sussex Police and the West Yorkshire Police services) have been accused of bad racism throughout the late 20th and 21st centuries, by people such as the Chief Constable of the GMP in 1998. David Wilmot; the BBC's Secret Policeman documentary 5 years later (which led to the death of 6 officers); Metropolitan Police Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe and the Metropolitan Black Police Association.

The National Black Police Association which allows only African, African-Caribbean and Asian officers as full members has been criticised as a racist organization by some because of its selective membership criteria based on ethnic origin.

Colour

In the United States, discrimination based on skin tone dates back to the chattel system of slavery, where skin color was often used as the basis for the division of labor (Hunter, 2002). Darker-skinned slaves were typically given work in the fields and had more physically demanding jobs, whereas lighter-skinned slaves were given more desirable positions, such as cooks or maids. The lighter-skinned slaves were usually a result of racial mixing.

Without any examples racism is a horrible thing that we need to stop right now.
