Introduction:

Let’s start off with a summary of what classism is. Classism is a terrible thing where once again equity is overlooked. It is where you judge someone based on the amount of money they have. There is the upper class, the middle class and the lower class. The upper class is people who have much to much money, and don’t know what to do with it. The middle class is people who have just enough money to live and have a few toys. The lower class is people who don’t have any toys and very little clothes and food. Most are homeless. A lot of the time, the upper class buys too much to remember what they have. Sometimes, they even buy servants and guards. This could be solved if only all of the upper class gave around half of there money to the lower class. Then, everybody would be at no class, where we want to be so we are not poor, but not overwhelmed. HELP US STOP CLASSISM!!!

I think classism is HORRIBLE!!! Not only is the act completely wrong, but think of the name. There are many meanings for “class”, but one of them is stylish, respectable, noble and many more syllables. This shows me that people think the upper class is more elegant than the lower class, because upper sometimes means higher in experience or more, and lower normally means less experience or  just less. It’s TERRIBLE!!!

Examples of classist comments:
  1. My best friend doesn’t really do the nicest stuff, but her grandparents live in a $2,000,000 house and she wears fancy dresses and high heels to school, so she’ll do.
  2. I remember when that dress was in style. I adored it. 5 years ago, I gave it to my chauffeur.
  3. Somebody from the lower class says, “I love your house!” Somebody from the upper class says, “thanks! I wish I could say the same for you!”

Examples of classist comments that may seem nice at first:
  1. Can you afford that? If not, I can pay for you.
  2. You’re oddly nice for someone who lives on the streets.
  3. You didn’t have to buy that for me! I mean, it’s not like you had all that much money to begin with!

People are giving away money to people who don’t even need it. Think about the lottery, for example. The lower class probably doesn’t have enough money to buy a ticket, so, the money will probably go to the upper class or middle class, who obviously don't need it, because they could afford to buy a ticket. I think, either the prices should go down way less for lottery tickets, or better, don't even have a lottery and just give the money to people who need it.

Classism always reminds me of an Albus Dumbledore (character from the books and movies of Harry Potter) quote. “We must decide between what is good, and what is easy.” To me, this means that you have to choose between what is right to do and will help others, or what would be easy for you and will make your life fake. By fake, I mean unrealistic. Everyone should work hard in there life to earn privilege. If you translate this to classism, I think it means that it’s always easy to have lots of money and live in a world of breakfast served in bed and chauffeurs driving you around. But that’s not always reasonable, or responsible. So the other choice, is the good choice. It’s that you give some of your money to the lower class, who have been working hard by trying to survive without much food or shelter. Then, you still won’t be below other people, because everyone will have the same amount, so you won’t feel like you have any less than you did before! Please ALWAYS go with the good choice.
